Abstract

This activity, “Reforming the Two-Party System in Iowa” simulates the process of electoral reform that enable third parties to become more competitive. You will assume the role of the governor of Iowa. In this capacity, you will:

  1. examine different methods of electing officials;
  2. determine how these electoral methods increase or decrease your party’s chance of success;
  3. work to pass electoral reform in Iowa.
