Conclusion

Thank you for playing “Electing Cheryl Martin.” We hope you have enjoyed the simulation, but specifically, we hope you now feel more comfortable at:

  • describing and explaining differences between primary and general voters, and between safe and contested districts;
  • understanding and articulating the importance of fundraising and campaign finance rules in campaign management; and
  • explaining the importance of voter turnout, and the concept of the likely voter, in election strategy.

From here, your instructor may encourage you to take a brief quiz. We also hope you will continue to learn more about the election process, primary races and caucuses, and campaign finance issues in the US.
